Chef Peter Lai is a celebrated Iron Chef of Chinese Cuisine, winning Iron Chef program and later serving as a judge on the show for many seasons.
His approach to cooking is rooted in tradition, guided by experience, and shaped by a deep respect for flavour and experience.
A Hong Kong native, Chef Lai began his culinary journey at just 17, training in one of Hong Kong’s most prestigious restaurants before continuing his career at Melbourne’s Hyatt Hotel. Today in Adelaide, he brings his craft to Mandarin Duck, where traditional Chinese dining meets a modern touch.
The menu reflects authentic Chinese flavours and a thoughtful curation of favourite dishes from across China — honouring the past while looking confidently toward the future.
